Trees help to clean the air we breathe. Through their leaves and bark, they absorb harmful pollutants and release clean oxygen for us to breathe. In urban environments, trees absorb pollutant gases like nitrogen oxides, ozone, and carbon monoxide, and sweep up particles like dust and smoke.
A single tree can be home to hundreds of species of insect, fungi, moss, mammals, and plants. Without trees, forest creatures would have nowhere to call home. The affects of deforestation has displaces hundreds of thousands of animals that literally have no where to go.

Do you want to plant more trees, organize events in your area, and do things that matter instead of watching more Netflix? Join our Department of Conservation and help develop it into a force to be reckoned with. Currently there are over 20 different awards, pins, and metals one can earn through their good deeds with the Department of Conservation. Everything from planting trees to visiting the Principality of the Northern Forests in person.
